At The Sugar Shoppe Bakery + Cafe, we made the decision to become a 100% gluten free bakery because we wanted to create a place where people could enjoy fresh baking every day. Going 100% gluten free was never about limiting what we could make. It was about creating a bakery where customers can feel confident and excited to order anything from the menu.
Everyone who works here has someone close to them who is either celiac or gluten intolerant, so we understand just how serious the effects of cross contamination can be and how unwell it can make the people we care about.
We also know how difficult it can be to find gluten free baking that feels both safe and genuinely delicious, so we removed gluten from our kitchen entirely and focused on creating baked goods and lunches people can confidently enjoy every day.
